What is FBLA?

California FBLA is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to preparing today's students for success in business leadership, and is an important partner in the success of school-to-work programs, business education curriculum, and student leadership development. FBLA has been recognized by the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor as an integral part of a co-curricular approach to business and leadership education. We have over 7,000 members in 150 active chapters.

Who are we?

Gabrielino FBLA was formed by business teacher, Mrs. Janet La Croix, and was officially chartered as FBLA Chapter #13335 by Alhambra High School in 1998. Gabrielino FBLA remains one of the most active chapters at the Section and State levels.

For the past 18 years, Gabrielino FBLA's greatest achievement has been earning the prestigious FBLA award -- the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit -- given only to the strongest and most active chapters.

Some recent successes include winning 1st in the Western Region for FBLA Local Chapter Professional Division Membership for the past two years. In 2017, Gabrielino had 6 national qualifiers attend the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.

What do we do?

FBLA provides numerous conferences with schools across the state and nation, a chance to participate in volunteer services, competitive events, leadership-building projects and much more!
